Zhong Lin — Perfect: The Story of an Idol

“Perfect: The Story of an Idol” is Zhong Linʼs powerful re-imagining of Satoshi Konʼs 1997 animated psycho-thriller “Perfect Blue”. The film follows Mima — a young pop starlet looking to transition into the role of an actress — as she is stalked by a mystery figure who may or may not be a figment of her imagination. The further she forays into the world of acting, the more reality and nightmare grow entwined, rendering Mima the victim of her very own plot.
