EDITOR’S DIARY SEPTEMBER 2017
September was a month full of distraction. While our minds were still on holidays we got overexposed immediately to the fast pace of Fashion Weeks and most importantly the German elections yesterday. However all profound distraction opens certain doors. You have to allow yourself to be distracted when you are unable to concentrate. So we went with the flow.
As the 5th anniversary of WHITELIES is coming up we embarked on a new journey as a culture publication as we opened our new Paris Office with the head of our editorial department being based in the fashion capital from now on. Our expansion however was not only of physical nature, but also digital: getting more hungry every day we concentrated on our platform to reach our readers where it’s most convenient for them - online. We are willing to dive into the realm of fast media to proof that online media doesn’t have to be oversaturated and short lived.
Here in Paris we are looking towards an exciting fashion week where Jacquemus is the first designer to ever show at Musee Picasso and Claire Waight Keller takes over the reigns at Givenchy, breaking with Riccardo’s approach.
